Since its inception in the 1960's, the Whole Music Club has contributed to the cultivation of a huge and diverse music community in the Twin Cities. What began as a coffeehouse for students to perform and study in, quickly evolved into a nationally renowned venue that offers students the opportunity to see local and national music icons for affordable prices in the basement of Coffman Memorial Union on the University of Minnesota East Bank campus.

D4 are the best punk band ever. I'm sorry, I'll fist fight someone if they think differently
Really illuminating to hear that Dan and Rick "finished" this song and subsequently threw it out and started again. An inspiring reminder to keep pursuing your artistic vision. It's also comforting to learn that even great musicians and producers don't get it right the first time through and have to persevere.
Was completely burnt out after work tonight and this came on in my car on the drive home and I started crying so yeah I'd agree it's very emotionally affecting. Beautiful performance as well
I like the first one too. One day we'll get to hear some unreleased songs. Maybe.
Nobody hates on black musicians more than white jazz fans lol
Slug and ant are the shit.
2023 POS ruined my life. 💀 Twin Cities Crush.
There isn’t anything better than Slug/Atmosphere. Thank God they never signed a major label.
Maestro 🎸
What absolute geniuses. I'll never forget the first time I heard them.... ❤
New sounds are needed in this world stuck in generational familiarity that puts up walls to open ear freedom. I listen to everything as if it’s a secret that only I am being privileged to by God.
Thank God for UA-cam. The fact I can watch this in 2024 is fantastic.. like boobs :D
I'm so glad he name-dropped Isaac Brock because I've always thought they are two of the greatest lyricists of their generation - makes tons of since to me that slug is a fan
im 39 now and i was the kid on the school bus sadly. wonder how many others went through wut i did
He is without a doubt one of the best songwriters and singers of all time. I'd love to see Semisonic but they don't seem to play too many shows outside their home town. I'd nearly travel to America to see them from Ireland. I wouldn't travel to Dublin to see Coldplay. Semisonic are on a different level. People in Western Europe are easily pleased when it comes to music. George Ezra, Coldplay, Arianna Grande, Harry Styles🤔🤔🤔. I'd rather pay money not to see them.
Yo fuck that crowd
Did anyone else get a tinnitus treatment ad before the video?
i hate my life bc I hate my boss
I feel a lot better about not knowing the names of most d4 songs
maaaaad
Truth spoken so clearly and beautifully that it hits like a ton of bricks. Can't listen to this without tears in my eyes. Absolute legend and the best in my book.
Amber has to have the best tone I’ve heard in a vocalist.
The 27 Various! find their records and turn them up loud! 👏👏
A very talented young lady i see a bright future happiness and success to you god bless
❤❤❤
❤gibby Hanes
Love Alan & Low . Rip Mimi .
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤this is awesome
❤❤❤
This song is like a distant cousin of P.O.D's "It Can't Rain Everyday".
where i can see the whole interview ? not just a bits
Yea boss
The videos alright but I'm more pleased it's put me onto Gimme Gimme Gimme, what an insane and illuminating song! Need to check out Rise Above in full some time.
Ear candy....and main course...and appetizer, all in one how can it be so joyous, surprising, with a touch of melancholy and love, all at the same time?
the main interest early on was Matt from TS on drums: that started the hype machine
Wonderful to hear Alan discuss being in and around music
A new fan to Low. I grew up and played in a band at the same time he discusses so it’s wonderful to relive the 80’s and 90’s through them. So many of the same influences and feelings. He seems like a kindred spirit
Good stuff. I like his staccato repeated gesture flavor. It’s something I do a lot myself.. not just the sound but the feeling of playing repeated notes within a gesture is some kind of delicious poision for my brain when i play… like it scratches some wonderful OCzd part of my soul. I feel like he slips classical references in his music… I’m hearing things.. I specially around 2:35… I’m hearing Beethoven.. you know the one. I love it. Good show!!!!
❤love and gratitude 🙏
$100?
He says he messes songs up that’s he done for 15 years but when I saw them at St Andrews he played Woman with the tattooed hands acapella and I shouted out the she was beautiful part he stopped during the song and screamed “I know the fucking words” 😂 hands down the best moment of my life that my idol acknowledged my existence that’s what great about these guys they interact with their fans and have fun with them just humble artist that make beautiful life saving inspiring music
